Meaford Farmers’ Market Gearing up for its 9th Season!

The Meaford Farmers’ Market is proud to be gearing up for its ninth season and will be held again at the Meaford Harbour Pavilion on Friday afternoons!

President, Marion Boyd, states “we are very excited to have more vendors than ever this year – over 40 different farmers, producers and artisans will be coming with a wide variety of produce and products to be offered. Of course you will be able to get a wonderful array of fresh fruits and vegetables in, but we also have many local artisans offering their wares. There will be ceramics, stoneware, handmade soaps and candles, local VQA wines, woodwork, clothing, artwork, preserves, baking, breads, honey, plants, flowers and much more. We will again have fresh fish as well as locally-raised lamb, pork and other meats. Among our new vendors this year is a farmer offering sheep’s milk products such as cheese and yogurt.”

Local musical entertainment will be offered every week, as well as other various activities throughout the season.

Starting in July, we will again be featuring a market chef, offering delectable food items created from our own locally- grown produce.

So come join the fun at the Meaford Farmers’ Market. The grand opening day is June 5, 2015, and the market will continue every Friday afternoon until Thanksgiving, running from 3 to 7 p.m. Follow the signs to the Meaford Harbour Pavilion, off of Trowbridge Street in beautiful downtown Meaford.
